INSTUCTIONS FOR Y3 AND Y4 CHILDREN

  1. Look at the support sheet which has lots of words and phrases you will hear in the video clip.
  2. While you’re watching the video clip, tick carefully next to each word and phrase each time you hear it.
  3. In your exercise book write your own short conversation in French between 2 children.

Using the support sheet to help you, include some greetings.

The 2 children also ask each other’s name and where they live.

I hope that you have had a lovely weekend.

Well done for all the fantastic work that you have been sharing. I’ve been so impressed!

I know a few of you now have siblings that have returned to school. I hope that you aren’t missing them too much!

In all likelihood, you won’t be returning to school this term, so won’t be seeing each other as a whole class. It’s a shame, but it’s so important to keep everyone safe.

I have enjoyed phoning your parents, I’ve spoken to most Year 4 families now and even to a few of you. It’s been so nice to chat with you! This week, four Year 4 children will be in school in the Key Worker bubble. I look forward to seeing them all in school.

It’s Refugee Week. It’s a time to think about how fortunate we are, having a safe environment, a roof over our heads, surrounded by people we love and with plenty of food to eat. We have so much to be grateful for!

Instead of science this week, I've set you a fun coding activity. Do you remember that we worked on Cracking Contraptions in Year 3? This a a Shaun the Sheep coding activity on sustainability.

Mathletics - I always try give you work that corresponds to the work we are doing in class. However, we have completed lots of the activities already. Therefore, I am giving you a different topic on Mathletics this week. I have set Position and Direction activities.

Maths on Friday, just like last Friday, instead of the BBC Bitesize challenge, please complete the Rapid Reasoning questions on fractions – the numbering has questions 1-3 on each page.
