Monday 6th July

Friday 10th July - Maths Challenge - incorrect answer!

Hello! The answer to today's Bitesize Challenge 3 is incorrect and should be 200ml not 300ml! This question is definitely a challenging level for Year 2 even without the incorrect answer to spot, so I'm adding a couple of other questions that aren't quite as tricky for those children that would like to do some extra maths today. Monday 6th July - English this week

Please note that there is new English resource booklet, based on The Elves and the Shoemaker, that some of the children might like like to do in addition or as an alternative to the Bitesize activities this week. It can be downloaded from the main Year 2 page where there are a number of other creative writing resources.

See below for this week's message ...

Good morning Year 2 children and parents

We hope you’ve all had an enjoyable weekend. It seems strange to be getting near to the end of the term without having seen you all for so long but the great news is that we will be seeing you next week if only for a day and a half. It will be great to hear how you’ve been getting on and to hear all your news.

We are continuing to follow the BBC Bitesize learning.  We check the tasks when they are loaded each evening on BBC Bitesize and add any notes or attachments here if necessary so please check back each day.

Please keep on reading and listening to stories, practise spellings from the Y2 list, or when you know those off by heart, you could start learning ones from the Y3/4 list in the centre pages of your Reading Record book. We will also set on-line tasks on Mathletics whenever they link to the theme of the week's learning if you have the opportunity to access the Mathletics website https://login.mathletics.com/.

NB I know some of you have had issues with the TT Rockstars website. If you are finding that it is only setting a very limited number of questions repeatedly, please contact Mrs McAtamney via the office and she will hopefully be able to help.

Look after yourselves, be kind to each other and have a great week!

Love from Mrs Simpson and Mrs McAtamney xxx
