Monday 22nd June

Hi Year 5 hope you are all well and I am thinking of you all . This week as you may be aware , our classroom flooded it was like a waterfall coming through the lights! So my year 6 bubble and I had to move to the hall all very exciting.  I hope your week wasn't too wet.

This week is National Sports Week so please get active everyday. I have downloaded some fun ideas for the week!

It has been fantastic receiving your work via admin and Google Classroom. Your writing is very impressive. As you are aware if I can't look at your work Miss Newman will.

I was especially impressed with the art work that was posted on Google Classroom it was amazing and showed the creative skills that have been further developed during lock down well done.

This week for Maths we will be following BBC Bitesize subtracting and dividing decimals.  I have added some worksheets.

English - Spellings for the end of the week are ending in ant /ancy . If you wish to extend yourselves look at  the website Spellingframe.co.uk .This week, we are looking at Spelling Rule 40 - Words ending in –ant and –ancy Words ending in –ent ence–ency.

Please could you write a book review of your favourite book you have read during lock down I have attached a template for you to follow. I have also asked you to write a story based on a picture. I have asked you to include subordinate clauses within the powerpoint there is an explanation. Any problems please let me know via admin or Google Classroom.
