The topic for this half term  is 'personal information - all about me' where previous learning on personal information is being re-visited and new personal information question/answers are being introduced with a view to children being able to speak confidently about themselves (name/age/where live/where from/brothers/sisters/favourite colour etc).  

This will not only reinforce prior knowledge, but will also provide opportunities to use prior knowledge in a specific way e.g. numbers.  Children know numbers 1- 10, but now they are working on saying how old they are so using the numbers in a sentence. Colours has also been taught, but now children will be able to say what is their favourite colour.
