We are hoping to provide daily updates.
Thursday 15th June
There was much excitement today as it was zip wire day. The children were in 3 groups and rotated between the zip wire, traverse climbing wall and obstacle challenge. This evening they have had a crash course in how to safely light a camp fire and are enjoying some time in the woods.
Wednesday 14th June
Today began with a trip out in the minibus to a drop off point at Ivinghoe Beacon followed by a hike to Ashridge Monument. We had a couple of stop offs for lunch and some games. This afternoon, the children learnt how to make origami water bombs.
Tuesday 13th June
Everyone had a good night and a hearty breakfast to set them up for the day. After discovering Timmy the mouse in our mammal trap and feeding him a treat of apple, he was released back into the wild. Activities today included archery, mountain biking and low ropes which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The children have already shown great perseverance and have supported each other brilliantly.
Monday 12th June
Children enjoyed orienteering, problem solving, games on the field and then a sneaky hot chocolate before bed. All in good spirits and looking forward to their first night.
